Terms of Service

Effective date: June 29, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 29, 2026

Welcome to MoreTables. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MoreTables website, mobile application, reservation services, rewards program, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using MoreTables, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

MoreTables acts as a technology platform that connects diners with participating restaurants and hospitality venues. MoreTables is not a restaurant and is not responsible for food quality, service quality, pricing, or dining experiences provided by participating restaurants.

1. Eligibility

To use MoreTables, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or have valid parental/guardian consent if you are under 18, in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Provide and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date account information at all times.
  • Comply with all applicable consumer protection, data protection, and privacy laws, including but not limited to the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and any international standards (such as GDPR) if you access the Platform from outside Nigeria.
  • Consent to the lawful processing of your personal data and exercise your rights responsibly (including rights to correction, deletion, and portability where applicable).
  • Not use the Platform if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable laws or regulations.
  • MoreTables reserves the right to verify your identity, request supporting documentation, and suspend or terminate accounts for fraudulent, unlawful, or non-compliant use.
  • MoreTables may restrict or deny access if eligibility requirements are not met or if misuse is detected.

2. Account Registration

When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep it updated at all times.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and not share them with any third party.
  • Notify MoreTables immediately of any unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or security breach involving your account.
  • Accept full responsibility for all activities conducted through your account, whether authorized or not.
  • Not impersonate, misrepresent your identity, or create fake or duplicate accounts for fraudulent purposes.
  • Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to create or manage accounts.
  • Not transfer, sell, or assign your account to another person or entity.
  • Understand that accounts engaging in fraud, repeated no-shows, abuse of promotions, impersonation, or other prohibited conduct may be suspended or permanently terminated.
  • MoreTables reserves the right to request identity verification documents and to restrict or deny access if account misuse is detected.

3. Reservation Services

MoreTables enables users to:

  • Discover restaurants, view real-time availability, make reservations, receive confirmations, and join rewards programs.
  • Receive booking confirmations and automated reminders via email, SMS, or in-app notifications.
  • Participate in restaurant rewards programs, subject to each restaurant's specific terms and conditions.
  • Join restaurant waitlists when reservations are full; placement on a waitlist does not guarantee a reservation. Users will be notified if a table becomes available and must confirm within the specified time window.
  • Restaurants may establish priority rules for waitlists (e.g., loyalty members, party size, special events), which will be disclosed upfront.
  • Availability is determined solely by restaurants and may change at any time. MoreTables is not responsible for last-minute changes, cancellations, or errors in restaurant scheduling.
  • MoreTables disclaims liability for missed notifications, technical errors, or delays in reservation or waitlist processing.
  • Abuse of reservation or waitlist systems (e.g., multiple fake sign-ups, bots, or fraudulent activity) may result in suspension or termination of account privileges.
  • MoreTables may use automated notifications (SMS/email) to remind users of reservations.

4. Reservation Policies

By making reservations, you agree to:

  • Arrive on time, provide accurate party size, and cancel promptly if unable to attend.
  • Comply with restaurant-specific policies, which may include cancellation deadlines, deposits, credit card holds, no-show fees, minimum spend requirements, or special event rules.
  • Understand that repeated late arrivals, cancellations, or no-shows may result in suspension of your reservation privileges.
  • Restaurants may refuse service for abusive, discriminatory, unsafe, or disruptive behavior, and such incidents may be reported to MoreTables.
  • Users are responsible for any charges incurred due to late cancellations, no-shows, or violation of restaurant policies.

4(b). Waitlists

  • Users may join restaurant waitlists when reservations are full.
  • Placement on a waitlist does not guarantee a reservation.
  • Restaurants maintain discretion regarding table allocation.
  • Users will be notified via the Platform if a table becomes available, but acceptance must be confirmed within the specified time window.
  • Restaurants may set priority rules (e.g., loyalty members, party size, special events), which will be disclosed upfront.
  • MoreTables disclaims liability for missed notifications, delays, or technical errors in waitlist processing.
  • Abuse of waitlists (e.g., multiple fake sign-ups, bots, or fraudulent activity) may result in suspension or termination of account privileges.
  • Restaurants may impose time limits on waitlist seating offers; failure to respond within the timeframe may result in forfeiture of the spot.
  • Users acknowledge that waitlist placement does not create a binding contract until the reservation is confirmed.

5. No-Show Policy

To ensure fairness for restaurants and diners:

  • Repeated no-shows may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of reservation privileges.
  • Restaurants may report no-shows directly to MoreTables, and such reports may be used to evaluate user account standing.
  • Rewards, loyalty points, or promotional benefits may be revoked if users repeatedly fail to honor reservations.
  • MoreTables may share verified no-show history with partner restaurants to protect their operations and ensure fair access to tables.
  • Users may be charged cancellation or no-show fees in accordance with restaurant policies, and such charges are the sole responsibility of the user.
  • Excessive no-shows may result in restrictions on future bookings, including mandatory deposits or prepayment requirements.
  • Fraudulent or abusive reservation activity (e.g., booking multiple tables without intent to attend) may lead to immediate account suspension.
  • MoreTables disclaims liability for disputes arising from restaurant-imposed penalties, but will provide transparency by displaying applicable policies at the time of booking.

6. Rewards Program

MoreTables may offer points, rewards, credits, promotions, and loyalty benefits to users from time to time.

  • Rewards have no cash value unless expressly stated by MoreTables or the participating restaurant.
  • Rewards are non-transferable, cannot be sold, bartered, or exchanged, and may expire in accordance with the terms disclosed at issuance.
  • Fraudulent activity, manipulation of the rewards system, or abuse of promotions will result in immediate termination of account privileges.
  • Rewards are subject to audit, and misuse may lead to forfeiture without compensation.
  • MoreTables reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue rewards programs at any time, with or without notice.
  • Rewards may be adjusted or revoked if linked to cancelled reservations, no-shows, or violations of restaurant policies.
  • Users are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from rewards or benefits received.
  • MoreTables disclaims liability for errors, delays, or failures in third-party reward fulfillment (e.g., restaurant-issued benefits).
  • Loyalty benefits may be subject to additional eligibility criteria, such as minimum spend, frequency of reservations, or membership status.

7. Payments, Deposits, and Charges

Certain restaurants may require deposits, prepaid experiences, credit card holds, or cancellation fees as part of their reservation policies.

  • All charges must be disclosed upfront at the time of booking, including applicable taxes, service charges, and currency conversion details.
  • MoreTables acts solely as a payment facilitator and does not set or control restaurant pricing, deposits, or refund policies.
  • Users are responsible for chargebacks, currency conversion fees, bank charges, and any penalties imposed by their financial institution.
  • Restaurants must disclose refund policies clearly and in advance; MoreTables is not liable for disputes over refunds or reimbursement delays.
  • Users authorize MoreTables and its payment partners to securely process transactions, including pre-authorizations and holds, in accordance with applicable financial regulations.
  • In cases of disputed charges, users must first resolve the matter directly with the restaurant; MoreTables may provide transaction records but is not a party to the dispute.
  • Fraudulent payment activity, misuse of credit cards, or unauthorized transactions may result in immediate account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Restaurants may impose stricter payment requirements (e.g., full prepayment for special events or peak periods), which will be disclosed prior to booking.
  • Users acknowledge that deposits and prepaid experiences may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated by the restaurant.

8. Restaurant Responsibilities

Participating restaurants are solely responsible for:

  • Food quality, menu accuracy, pricing transparency, service standards, health compliance, reservation fulfillment, and customer service.
  • Compliance with all applicable health, safety, licensing, tax, and labor laws, including maintaining valid permits and certifications required to operate.
  • Restaurants must disclose all mandatory charges (e.g., service fees, VAT, surcharges) upfront to diners.
  • Restaurants must ensure that facilities meet hygiene and safety standards, including compliance with local food handling and sanitation regulations.
  • Restaurants are responsible for honoring reservations made through MoreTables, except in cases of force majeure or unforeseen emergencies.
  • Restaurants must indemnify and hold harmless MoreTables against any claims, damages, liabilities, regulatory fines, or third-party disputes arising from violations of law, health and safety breaches, or misrepresentation of services.
  • Restaurants are prohibited from engaging in discriminatory practices, misleading advertising, or unfair treatment of diners.
  • Restaurants must promptly update availability, pricing, and policy changes on the Platform to avoid misleading users.
  • Failure to comply with these obligations may result in suspension or removal from the MoreTables Platform.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Engage in fraudulent reservations, create multiple unauthorized accounts, resell reservations, or use bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate the Platform.
  • Harass, threaten, or post harmful, offensive, or unlawful content directed at restaurants, staff, or other users.
  • Engage in discriminatory, defamatory, or abusive behavior toward staff, restaurants, or fellow diners.
  • Upload or share content that infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy, or spreads misinformation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, interfere with its functionality, or exploit vulnerabilities.
  • Use the Platform for commercial purposes without prior written authorization from MoreTables.
  • Circumvent or manipulate reservation, rewards, or payment systems for personal gain.
  • Violations of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, forfeiture of rewards, and possible referral to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

10. Reviews and User Content

If you submit reviews, ratings, photos, or comments through the Platform:

  • You grant MoreTables a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in any media or format.
  • Content must be truthful, based on actual dining experiences, and lawful under applicable regulations.
  • MoreTables reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove content at its sole discretion, including content deemed offensive, misleading, or irrelevant.
  • Accounts engaging in fake reviews, defamatory remarks, or manipulation of ratings may be suspended or permanently terminated.
  • You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to any content submitted, and that it does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of third parties.
  • MoreTables may use submitted content for promotional purposes, marketing campaigns, or analytics, without obligation to compensate you.
  • Users are prohibited from posting discriminatory, obscene, violent, or otherwise harmful material.
  • MoreTables disclaims liability for user-submitted content but may cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities in cases of unlawful submissions.
  • By submitting content, you consent to its public display and acknowledge that removal requests may not always be honored once content has been published.

  • MoreTables may retain certain data for regulatory, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes even after account closure, in accordance with statutory retention periods.
  • Users must ensure that any personal data they provide (e.g., guest names, contact details) is accurate and lawful, and they remain responsible for third-party data shared through the Platform.
  • MoreTables implements technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, cyberattacks, or accidental loss, but disclaims liability for breaches beyond its reasonable control.

  • MoreTables may update or discontinue integrations at any time, with or without notice, depending on third-party availability or compliance requirements.
  • Users are responsible for ensuring their accounts with third-party providers remain active, accurate, and compliant with applicable laws.
  • Any disputes arising from third-party services (e.g., payment disputes, mapping errors, or social media connectivity issues) must be resolved directly with the third-party provider.
  • MoreTables disclaims liability for security breaches, unauthorized access, or data misuse originating from third-party platforms.
